Fingernails, do I really need to look pretty?!

I started growing my fingernails out. 

I usually keep them pretty short cus they are just gonna break anyway with the stuff I do. I am not a delicate flower ya know.  If something needs to be done here, i'm the one doing it. Why bother, no one looks at my hands anyway right. Weelllll. I need to change my mindset if I want to feel better about myself. (Low self-esteem most of the days.)  I started growing them out a bit & I paint them at home. I am not having them done at a salon.  Have some Asian woman ask me Why you no have boyfriend, nope not gonna do it don't care how funny it is when it's on the comedy channel.  The polish only looks good for church and a couple days after but i'm ok with that. I just touch them up or paint them a different color for next Sunday. 

Still trying to get used to the darn things. They get in the way! Typing is it's own challenge. I keep hitting the wrong key with my nail while my finger gets the correct key. OY! Extra letters... Caps lock.. good grief. Backspace is my friend lately. It's harder to pick things up off a table & I have stabbed myself in the face more than a few times forgetting they are there. Watching others with their really long nails type on their phone , cut hair do all sorts of thing like wow.  One thing though how do they pick their nose?? do thy have someone else do it for them? Don' t look at me like that you know you do it. I've seen you in the car when you think no one can see you. (Snort Laugh). On the plus side I can scratch my back better.  I guess if I can get used to 4' heels to make my legs & butt look smoking hot (lol) I can hopefully get used to longer fingernails all in the name of beauty right? well we'll see how long this lasts.  Probably till one of them breaks then I say to heck with it & chop them all off. Time will tell.
